RISE TO THE CHALLENGE: INTRODUCING OUR FIRST IN-HOUSE CHRONOMETER MANUFACTURE CALIBER.
Meet the Caliber 7309, our first movement made completely in-house. A COSC certified caliber, it’s the heart of the new Engineer M Challenger, featuring an 80-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz). Alongside self-powered micro gas lights, the Engineer M Challenger represents a groundbreaking timepiece.
Now available for pre-order at a special introductory price starting from USD 1,699* until 31 January 2018. Limited to 1,000 pieces.
IN-HOUSE MOVEMENT + MICRO GAS TUBES. TWO BRIGHT IDEAS.
As a leader in luminosity, BALL has equipped the Engineer M Challenger with micro gas tubes for quick and clear reading in darkness. The hour markers, including the 3, 6, 9 and 12 numerals, are comprised of the green self-powered gas tubes, which do not require charging from an external source. Easy readability is paramount in dark environments – and the Engineer M Challenger delivers every time, everywhere.
EQUAL PARTS COMMITMENT, PASSION AND KNOW-HOW.
The road to independence is not marked by comfort, but rather unstoppable courage. With the introduction of our first in-house movement, BALL Watch Co. is taking a bold step in its watchmaking future. For years, BALL timepieces have been equipped with intelligent innovation. And, now, the Engineer M Challenger is the first timepiece to be fitted with a manufacture caliber, yet will not be the last.
BREAKING BARRIERS OF INNOVATION AND EXPLORATION.
At the heart of our manufacture caliber is precision, efficiency and reliability. As a COSC certified movement, the timepiece has undergone rigorous testing by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute. Its 80-hour power reserve goes beyond ordinary autonomy, while beating to a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour or 4Hz. The movement itself and its polished finishing can be seen through the sapphire crystal case back.
IMPRESSIVE, INSIDE AND OUT.
While the Engineer M Challenger stands out because of its movement, the black, blue and grey dials are eye-catching due to their expansive designs. And, at 40mm and 43mm, the models fit comfortably with exploration gear, casual wear and dress attire. The BALL Watch DNA of exceptional ruggedness is matched by the timepiece’s pleasing aesthetics.
OUR QUEST, OUR PROMISE.
At BALL Watch Co., we believe in the freedom to explore the world as a way to strengthen character and discover new depths. Our new in-house movement symbolizes our beliefs, our commitment to innovation and our goal of empowering explorers further. It’s our mission to build the most robust mechanical timepieces with durability, precision, style and extreme readability.
